What lesson did you learn?

I think the main defining characteristic of President Mandela and Francois Pienaar captain are their leadership, show that nothing is lost as a game or a country, shows that the differences are not obstacles on a team, but not knowing how to find out those differences. I can also see wisdom in the characters, both know what they want and know how to achive their goals. They teach as that small efforts are achieved great things, and any kind of effort is too great like the satisfaction of having gone through a process.

INVICTUS (part 2)

Movie Review:

This film also shows the attitude of the captain of the "Springboks"; Francois Pienaar, like a captain is a determined person, always looking to give his best in the field, which does not surrender, and knows how to deal with the burden of an entire country. This second part of the film shows that teamwork can not fail to reap victories, but he doesn`t only wants to Springbok team,he want  South Africa like a team; because a unitedf nation is better than 13 players, and perish that he is one of the few people that notice that.

QUITO' S LEGENDS

In this class activity we had to prepare a dramatization about a legend of Quito, and I decided to criticize about the legend of Cantuña because I found very creative the way to tell this story and I found a very good exposition; because without much time to prepare this, the group made a great effort and did so in a big way. I think this is the most positive I can highlight , because our formation in the San Gabriel High School is shown, and we never do things with mediocrity and the people can notice it in these small activities.

QUITO`S FESTIVITIES

What did I learn in class?

I knew that Quito's festivities are a celebration commemorating the Spanish Foundation of the city of San Francisco de Quito, which was founded on December 6, 1534. This was done with the leadership of the Spanish conqueror "Sebastian Benalcázar" on the remains of the capital of the Inca Empire.

The Fiestas de Quito are made from the last week of November until the second week of December each year, between 1 and December 6, where the town is the setting for a great holiday, festivals and events that are held only in the Metropolitan District of Quito.

But in class I learn that there are many ways to celebrate Quito, from a simple game like "Cuarenta" traditional drinks like "Canelazo" and various activities such as the woody cars and the bullfights. One thing that caught my attention is that more people know how to celebrate this holiday, but they don`t know what they are celebrating.

According to this article, to the south of the country; in to the provice of Loja it has placed an X-ray scanner at the border with Peru, because at the time of Christmas, trying to enter the country illegally more liquor. Pass through the point of Huaquillas where the scanner is is required for drivers. Other Control also has performed in Carchi blocking a stretch of the border for a review.

In my opinion, these controls should be along all the year, because always these kind of products are marketed in the country, replacing better quality products and Ecuadorian products, so I think they should increase economic sanctions to the people who are found doing this type of thing, or jailed, to do that people stop doing this.

INVICTUS (part 1)

Movie Review:

This film is set in South Africa, in the 90s, when Nelson Mandela became the president of this nation. I think what should be noted the leadership and wisdom that Mandela has to deal with different situations and solving the problem of a separate country. It is also important to note is that it was such an intelligent person who achieve his objectives through one sport, despite of how they saw the people. I noticed that this is an example that anything is gained through dedication, effort and hope, as its aspiration is to win the Rugby World Cup with a team that has lost much, and surely they`re going to achieve it, because If we are searching a goal like that, it's posible.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

CLASS ACTIVITY:

Good afternoon, today I will give a short review of what was the activity that we did in class. This consited to decorate the exteriors of the English classroom with different kinds of Christmas ornaments. I think it was an activity in which was able to work together more with my classmates and we could show the work that we are able to work in team, because no one was excluded and all contribute to build a friendly atmosphere, where noted the course in general. I think we should do more things like this, because we test us to develop our creativity and we can contribute ideas that are sure to be heard for a good teamwork to improve it.
